Now it’s time for me to rambling since I just put all of the important info out. I don’t really do new year resolution because I will just get bored lol but I do have something in mind. Firstly I want to take care of myself better. I often neglect own need to finish assignments and school work while maintaining some what consistency update to comms. Now that my only responsibility is well commission. I want to take care of myself better. Ya know sleep on time, wake up on time. My life could use a bit of routine! Maybe go out (eat) touch some grass, Running around the local shopping mall like an idiot? Well generally just vibing.
Mental health wise eh I’m getting better with occasionally depress but it’s mostly tied to my period which is normal. My mental health is often crush by my university workload ( around 3-5 art piece each week. Both graphic design work and full cg illustration work) which now it’s gone so I will observe myself so I can handle my own up and down. Still thank you all who reach out to me when I’m posting depressing shit, I LOVE YOU ALL!
Art wise, Last year my goal is basically to get better at coloring which I think I succeed in that! I think this year I would like this year goal to be improving shading detail. I think my shading could use more detail on the muscle and well other character detail.
Aside from coloring goal I also have another goal in mind. I want to learn how to draw a proper mech character! This should help me with going forward to learn how to draw and design machinery for my world building project. My aim for learning how to draw mech would be in the style of ‘super robot genre’ more than realistic mech. Look I grow up with Tokusatsu and mahou shoujo aka magical girl what did you expect from me x’D ( Den-o and Nanoha my beloved)
Last year, Marlowe (the women who is with me. For those who don’t know I’m plurals) drag me into de-googling ourselves. At first it start with simple finding alternative to gmail then that lead me down the rabbit hole and I ended up hosting my own stuff from my VPS. Originally I want to buy raspberry pi or second hand laptop to host from my house so I have direct access to file but oh god my current internet provider is unstable af. My server would be on and off often by this. Not to mention the speed -_- so renting VPS is kind of a better in my situation.
I honestly think I’m glad that now I can host my own website since really. I don’t have too many positive view on current internet art as a whole. With the increase of moral police around art it just make me feel unsafe to trust art platform to just not suddenly “aaaa ok this is now ban!” Like as you know ya girl is basically a ‘shipper’ since romance and love as a whole concept is ya girl jam.
I love working with romance theme and yes even the twisted one. I draw them for both exploring human psyche, coping with my situation as well as just “I’m horny so I must draw my horny fantasy”. At the very least I have some knowledge to host my own art gallery in case if moral policing get too strong in art sit
